Stenothoe microps

Description:
Epimeral plate 3 prolonged posteriorly, distal angle evenly rounded. Eyes very small, rounded, with imperfectly developed visual elements, light red in colour.
Antenna 1 less than half body length, flagellum up to about 24-articulate. Antenna 2 about as long as antenna 1, flagellum about 11-articulate. Merus of gnathopod 1 with a prolonged posterior lobe; propodus suboval, palm oblique, delimited by 2 or 3 small spines; palmar margin and inner margin of dactylus minutely toothed. Female gnathopod 2 larger than in Stenothoe marina , resembling the male gnathopod 2 of that species; merus acute distally; propodus elongate oval, palm longitudinal, setose, margin irregularly crenulate with few distal tubercles; dactylus elongate and setose on inner margin. Basis of pereiopod 7 broadly rounded; merus moderately expanded with a distal angle reaching to the mid-point of the carpus. Peduncle of uropod 3 elongate with 8 marginal spines. Telson broadly oval, with 4 pairs of dorsolateral spines, apex acute.

Adult female 8.5 mm.

Colour:
Whitish, with a few scattered reddish patches.

Unknown.

Distribution:
North Sea and Skagerrak.
