Description:
Female with the pereion fairly long; ovary with two ventral and two dorsal processes. Oostegites 2 to 5 covering the ovarian processes and oostegite 1; the latter with anterior, posterior and transverse lamellae. Size 3.2 cm. Male with pereion segment 1 distinct from cephalon.
Habitat:
Parasitic on the common shore crab Carcinus maenas .
Distribution:
Southern North Sea and south-west coasts of the British Isles.
