Description:
Body compact, maximum width 17 mm. Whitish colour, sometimes with a red patch. Mantle opening opposite the stalk, opening very large and directed anteriorly on the host. Short posteriorly situated stalk.

Habitat:
Parasitic on Munida sarsi and less often on Munida rugosa . Usually attached to the 1st to 4th abdominal segment. Up to 0.5% infection of Munida sarsi . Occurs singly.
