Description:
Adults 4 mm on small host species, up to 15 mm on large host. Whitish to pink. Initially spherical, larger and slightly elongated parallel to the axis of the host in adults. Stalk short and broad. Two small mantle openings appear when larvae are ready to hatch. Larva hatch as cyprids.
Habitat:
Occurs attached to the sternite of abdomen of a wide range of free-swimming shrimps and prawns found in the area. Recorded hosts include Caridion gordoni , Crangon allmani , Dichelopandalus bonnieri , Eualus pusiolus , Spirontocaris lilljeborgi and Spirontocaris spinus .
