Description:
Coxal plate 1 small and tapering, rounded distally; plates 1 to 3 with the distal margin very weakly toothed or crenulate. Epimeral plate 3 posterodistal angle broadly rounded. Head with rostrum weakly curved, acute, reaching about to end of peduncle article 1 of antenna 1, lateral lobes very strongly produced and broadly rounded; eyes large, rounded. Antenna 1 short, reaching slightly beyond end of peduncle of antenna 2, articles 1 and 2 about equal, flagellum about 5-articulate with few long setae. Antenna 2 peduncle articles 4 and 5 about equal, flagellum up to about 8-articulate. Gnathopod 1 carpus with short posterior lobe, propodus with oblique, convex, palm, delimited by pair of spines, palmar margin minutely toothed with few small setules, dactylus with inner margin distinctly toothed. Gnathopod 2 much larger than I, carpal lobe not nearly reaching to proximal angle of palm, palm convex, delimited by pair of spines, margin minutely toothed with few small setules, inner margin of dactylus toothed. Pereiopods 5 to 7 basis oval, posterior margin weakly toothed. Uropod 3 rami slender, with only few marginal setules. Telson of moderate length, apex narrowly rounded, not reaching to mid-point of peduncle uropod 3.

Yellowish brown, sometimes speckled with orange.
Habitat:
Depth range from 10 to 180 metres.
Distribution:
Atlantic coast of Europe from Irish Sea to Mediterranean.
