Description:
Body length of female 1-1.5 mm. The male of L. manca differs in the form of the antennae 1, which are thicker and longer than in the female.
This species is distinguished chiefly by the total absence of pleopods in the female, by the structure of the uropods which have a two-articled endopodite and a one-articled exopodite; in male the pleonites are rather longer than those of the female and bear pleopods.
Habitat:
It has been found in muddy sand, between 45-1050 m depth.
Distribution:
It has been found off the Isle of Man, 6-11 km north-west of Bradda Head, Norway, the Davis Straits and south of Iceland.
