Bacescu, 1950

Description:
Very similar to Pseudocuma longicornis but male antenna 1 has a brush of aesthetascs on the distal segment of the peduncle and the flagellum of antenna 2 does not reach beyond the end of the pereion, while there are only five to seven spines on the endopod of the uropod.

Size:
Up to 3 mm.

Habitat:
Littoral.

Distribution in the North Sea:
Recorded from the coast of Belgium and from Liverpool Bay in shallow water. It seems possible that this is a neotenous form of the male of Pseudocuma longicornis but further study is required.

World distribution:
NW Europe.
