Pseudocuma similis

Description:
Similar to Pseudocuma longicornis but less slender and may be somewhat larger. Anterolateral angle with three small teeth. Telson rather broader than long, truncate in the female. Peduncle of uropod longer than the nearly equal rami.

Size:
Up to 5.5 mm.

Habitat:
Shelf to bathyal.

Depth range:
Down to about 10 to 360 metres.

Distribution in the North Sea:
Southern and northern North Sea, Skagerrak.

World distribution:
A boreal species, found from Norway to the British Isles and the Bay of Biscay. There is a single record from the Mediterranean.
