Galatheascus striatus

Description:
Length usually less than 6 mm, but occasionally up to 20 mm. Egg-shaped with a small stalk near the middle, surrounded by an oval shield occupying two-thirds of the body length. Mantle opening terminal.

Habitat:
Occurs singly on sternal aspect of the 3rd or 4th abdominal segment of Galathea strigosa , Galathea intermedia , Galathea dispersa and Galathea nexa .

Distribution:
Probably widely distributed.
