Amphilochoides serratipes

Description:
Mandibular molar very small and only weakly ridged; maxilla 2 outer plate much smaller than inner. Coxal plate 1 small, quadrate, anterior angle slightly prolonged; plates 2 and 3 distal margin smooth. Epimeral plate 3 quadrate, posterior margin straight. Head with a short curved rostrum, not quite reaching mid-point of peduncle article 1 of antenna 1; lateral lobes triangular; eyes moderately large, rounded. Antenna 1 peduncle articles 1and 2 robust, article 2 shorter than I, article 3 much shorter and more slender than 2, flagellum 5-articulate with few long setae. Antenna 2 only slightly longer than 1, peduncle article 5 shorter than 4, flagellum 4-articulate. Gnathopod 1 carpus with triangular posterior lobe, propodus elongate, palm oblique, convex, distal palmar margin with several distinct rounded teeth and short setules, dactylus long and slender, inner proximal margin with few small teeth. Gnathopod 2 much larger than 1, merus with apical spine, carpal lobe elongate, propodus suboval, palm with numerous distinct rounded teeth and short setules, dactylus long and slender, inner proximal margin with few teeth. Pereiopods 5 to 7 basis very broad, posterior margin weakly toothed. Uropod 3 reaching little beyond 1, rami much shorter than peduncle. Telson very elongate, reaching beyond end of peduncle of uropod 3, apex acute.
