Description:
Body slender. Head with a spine-like rostrum reaching slightly beyond the lateral lobes. Antenna 1 a little over half the body length, reaching slightly beyond the end of peduncle article 4 of antenna 2, flagellum up to about 5-articulate. Antenna 2 equal to the body length, flagellum only 3-articulate, article 1 elongate, articles 2 and 3 small. Gnathopod 1 carpus with a large distal spine, propodus with two to three marginal spines, dactylus inner margin serrate. Gnathopod 2 basis robust, carpus triangular, much shorter than the propodus with a slender posterior lobe bearing a stout distal spine, propodus oval with three to six graduated spines on the posterior margin, palm concave and about half the length of the posterior margin, dactylus inner margin serrate. Uropod 1 outer ramus with about five to ten small outer-marginal spines, inner ramus equal to or slightly shorter than outer one with one to three inner-marginal spines, outer margin of inner ramus weakly convex proximally. Uropod 2 outer ramus without marginal spines. Uropod 3 peduncle broad distally with about four to six very long setae and one long spine at least half the length of the ramus, ramus very small with one apical spine and about three to six long setae.

Length about 3 to 5 mm.
Colour:
Diffuse brown, anterior surface of the head and proximal parts of the antennal articles with darker pigmentation.
Habitat:
Depth range from 0 to 40 metres on sandy substrates. Constructs irregular tubes of sand and shell debris.
Distribution:
North-East Atlantic, North Sea; European coasts from western Norway to north-west France.
