Description:
Pereion broad and dorsoventrally flattened; pleosome rather laterally flattened; urosome dorsoventrally flattened with segment 1 elongate. Coxal plates 1 to 3 quadrate: plate 4 elongate acuminate; plates 5 and 6 with a posterior lobe acutely prolonged. Epimeral plate 9 with the posterodistal angle acute, plate 3 with the distal angle subquadrate. Head strongly dorsoventrally flattened, rostrum well developed and broad; eyes large, prominent. Antenna 1 robust, about one-quarter of the body length, peduncle articles 1 to 3 about equal in length, flagellum about 8-articulate with tufts of short setae. Antenna 2 shorter and more slender than antenna 1, flagellum about 8-articulate. Gnathopod 1 small, slender, simple, dactylus elongate. Gnathopod 2 larger and more robust than gnathopod 1, subchelate, setose, propodus subquadrate, palmar angle acutely produced; dactylus short and broad, longer than the palm, palmar angle and inner margin of the dactylus minutely spinose. Pereiopods 3 to 7 robust, merus broad, propodus very stout, dactylus strongly curved; basis of pereiopods 5 and 6 oval; basis of pereiopod 7 broad with the posterodistal margin weakly angular. Uropods elongate, smooth or only sparsely spinose; uropods 1 and 2 rami slender; uropod 3 rami broad, outer ramus shorter than the inner one. Telson oval, entire.
