Liljeborgia kinahani

Description:
Pleosome segments 1 and 2 with 3 small dorsal teeth on the posterior margin; urosome segments 1 and 2 each with a single small dorsal tooth. Coxal plate 1 large but only slightly broadened distally. Posterodistal angle of epimeral plate 3 with a minute tooth. Head with an elongate triangular lateral lobe; eyes very small and rounded. Antenna 1 short and reaching slightly beyond peduncle of antenna 2, peduncle article 1 longer than articles 2 and 3 combined, flagellum little longer than peduncle and about 10-articulate; accessory flagellum slightly more than half length of primary flagellum and about 7-articulate. Antenna 2 peduncle moderately robust, peduncle articles 4 and 5 about equal, flagellum about 8-articulate. Gnathopod 1 basis abruptly tapering proximally, carpus with elongate slender setose posterior lobe, propodus broadly oval, palm strongly convex, palmar margin with many long toothed setae, delimited by angular process and 2 slender spines, dactylus inner proximal margin with about 4 large teeth. Gnathopod 2 generally similar to I, except propodus elongate oval and much larger, basis less angular proximally. Pereiopods 3 and 4 long and very slender. Pereiopods increasing in length from 5 to 7, basis oval with posterior margin distinctly serrate, propodus long and slender, dactylus spiniform. Uropod 3 outer ramus naked, inner ramus with a single spinule. Telson deeply cleft, each lobe with long apical spinule.

Up to 3 mm.

Colour:
Whitish or pinkish.

Habitat:
Depth range from 5 to 60 metres.

Distribution:
Atlantic coast of Europe from northern Norway to north west France.
