Description:
Coxal plate 1 broad distally. Head with a very large curved rostrum reaching well beyond the end of the peduncle article 1 of antenna 1; eyes very large, oval, red in colour. Antenna 1 shorter than 2. female antenna 1 reaching beyond end of peduncle of antenna 2, peduncle articles short, article 1 about equal to length of 2 and 3 combined, flagellum up to about 13-articulate. Male antenna 1, flagellum robust, setose. Female antenna 2 peduncle article 5 little shorter than 4, flagellum about 13-articulate. Male antenna 2 as long as body, peduncle articles robust, flagellum filiform. Gnathopod 1 carpal lobe narrowly oval, spinulose, propodus suboval, palm convex, margin setose and minutely toothed, dactylus slender, as long as palm. Gnathopod 2 carpal lobe very long and slender, propodus at least 4 times as long as wide, palm convex, margin setose and minutely toothed. Pereiopods 5 and 6, dactylus well developed but shorter than propodus. Pereiopod 7 elongate, robust, spinose, basis with posterior lobe narrowing distally. Telson with apex weakly emarginate.

Up to 10 mm.

Dark orange.

Habitat:
Depth range from 5 to 360 metres.

Distribution:
North East Atlantic; European coast from northern Norway to north west France.
