Description:
Body slender; pleon segment 4 deeply depressed dorsally with pair of anteriorly directed setae and 1 or 2 pairs of posteriorly directed spines. Coxal plate 1 long and narrow, apex obtusely rounded, posterior margin smooth, posterodistal margin with about 6 to 8 small setae; coxal plates 2 and 3 posterodistal angle with large tooth, distal margin with about 25 setae in female, rather fewer in male; coxal plate 4 rounded. distal margin with about 20 setae. Epimeral plate 3 posterodistal margin rounded. distal margin with 8 to 10 groups of spines. Eyes large, kidney-shaped. Antenna 1 peduncle article 1 prolonged distally, triangular, apex narrowly rounded, ventral margin with 5 or 6 plumose setae, flagellum in female 6 to 7-articulate, in male about 11-articulate. Antenna 2 flagellum in female 8 to 10-articulate, in male filiform exceeding length of body. Uropod 3 outer ramus with article 2 about half length of article 1.

Habitat:
Depth range from 0 to 400 metres.

Distribution:
Kattegat, Bohuslän, North Sea, English Channel.
