Description:
Carapace large, in males about 2.5 mm long, females about 3 mm long; white, appendages brown in living specimens. Male copulatory appendage characteristic (M. minna 8 ).
Habitat:
Usually found at depths greater than 50 m and on soft mud.
Remarks:
This is the largest marine cyprid in British waters.
Distribution:
It appears to be confined to northern British waters, and has been recorded from the Skagerrak, Fair Isle, Shetland and as far north as the Lofoten Islands.
