Cythere lutea

Description:
Carapace densely pitted, shallow radial fossae relatively conspicuous. Detailed shape of distal processes of male copulatory appendages characteristic (C. lutea 8 ). Colour reddish brown to buff, with bright yellow appendages.

Habitat:
A phytal species commonly inhabiting the littoral and shallow sublittoral zones, usually found in normal marine conditions but occasionally encountered in the outer reaches of estuaries.

Distribution:
Widespread around the coasts of Britain and from S Norway in the north to the Atlantic coast of France in the south.
