Sarsicytheridea punctillata

Description:
Carapace elongate, pitted with small, shallow fossae, particularly in the central area. Dorsal and ventral margins slightly convergent posteriorly, greatest height in front of mid-length. Distal process of male copulatory appendage with a subtriangular anterior lobe and a narrow, pointed posterior lobe (S. punctillata 2 ).

Habitat:
Sublittoral, living at depths of 10-100 metres on sand or silt substrates.

Distribution:
Northern coasts of Britain; Scandinavia, including the Baltic.
