Drepanorchis neglecta

(Fraisse, 1877)

Description:
Body compact, up to 14 mm; yellowish, becoming browner. The mantle opening opposite the stalk.

Habitat:
Parasitic on Macropodia rostrata , Macropodia tenuirostris , Inachus dorsettensis , Inachus phalangium and Inachus leptochirus . Infection rates up to 4.6% recorded in the Irish Sea; 70% in Scandinavia, where multiple (up to four) externae are observed.
